National Geographic's Quest begins June 2017!

18 May 2017

The countdown is on! National Geographic Quest sets sail on her inaugural voyage this June! The first expedition ship of its kind to be made entirely in the U.S., Quest will spend summer and fall exploring Alaska and the Pacific Northwest before heading south for the winter to the tropical coasts of Costa Rica & Panama and through the Canal to Belize & Guatemala.

For 125 years, National Geographic has enabled people to explore the world through its magazines and, more recently, its television programs and website. There is perhaps no greater organization on the planet focused on sharing what makes the world around us so extraordinary. Each month over 300 million people engage with National Geographic in some way to learn a little more about the planet.

Expedition heritage
Starting with Lars-Eric Lindblad over 50 years ago, Lindblad Expeditions has been taking people out into the world to explore the most remote and interesting places on the planet as active, engaged explorers. Many of Lars-Eric’s pioneering expeditions—Galápagos, Papua New Guinea, and China, to name a few—were inspired by the pages of National Geographic. In fact, one of the first things you see upon arriving at Lindblad Expeditions’ New York office is a shelf containing a collection of National Geographic magazines dating back to the 1950’s.

To put it simply, both Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic share a heritage and a passion for exploration. These two organizations exist to bring travelers (arm-chair or actual) to remote, untrammeled, fascinating places on the planet, and provide them with an unprecedented platform and unrivalled expertise to better appreciate the geography they’re exploring.

An experience a world apart
The shared tradition creates a guest experience unlike any other in the world of travel. Travel with Lindblad-National Geographic and you share the adventure with writers, photographers and filmmakers from National Geographic, and the exceptional Lindblad expedition leaders, naturalists and captains—guides, teachers, and engaging companions, dedicated to sharing the world’s wonders with curious, intelligent travelers.
