Join us for a festive holiday voyage to some of the most sought-after Caribbean destinations, including Cuba’s two largest cities. Start in Miami and set sail for sunny Key West, brimming with beaches, bars and a bounty of historic sights. Your immersion into colorful Cuban culture begins in Havana, where you’ll spend the night in port. Experience the unique rhythm of local life through pulse-pounding music, eclectic architecture, and local food and drink. You’ll spend Christmas Day at sea before arriving in George Town, Grand Cayman. Soak up a little bit of heaven on Seven Mile Beach and explore Hell—an outcropping of otherworldly volcanic rock.

After two restful days onboard your boutique hotel at sea, it’s time to hop, skip, and jump across the ABC Islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. Go Dutch on these former colonial islands and discover a little taste of Europe in the Caribbean. The celebrations continue as you ring in the New Year with your newfound friends onboard. Then, we’re back to Cuba to explore the vibrant city of Santiago de Cuba. It’s famous for rum and rhythm—what’s not to love? The private retreat of Labadee®, Haiti is your final destination. This island getaway is exclusive to Azamara guests, and offers the ideal retreat to revel in those last few moments of vacation bliss before it’s back to reality.

Highlights of this cruise:

Miami, Florida
Propelled by Latin rhythms, with a bold style all its own, Miami is a spicy melting pot of cultures. Immerse yourself in the colorful Art Deco district, vibrant nightlife, and beaches for sun-worshipers and water sport enthusiasts alike. Put some money on the horses at Hialeah Park, one of racings oldest and most prominent tracks, right next to a lake full of pink flamingos. Go adventuring in the Everglades, looking for ‘gators and manatees, canoeing through mangrove tunnels, or paddling a sea kayak through the “10,000 islands”. Flashy and full of life, it’s a great place to play.

Key West, Florida
Beautifully positioned in the Straits of Florida, the island of Key West is the United States’ southernmost point, located just 90 miles from Cuba. It’s one of the sunniest cities in the country with a "just right" year-round tropical climate—neither too hot nor too cold—and at only four miles long by two miles wide, Key West is filled with beaches, historic sights, international restaurants, and a very lively nightlife.

Meander down Duval Street for its energetic strips of cafés, shops, and bars, or take a walking tour to see some of the island’s best architecture, courtyards, and gardens. Dive or snorkel in the coral reefs and wrecks off Key West, or simply stroll in the footsteps of such famous citizens Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, and Thomas Edison, who all called Key West home at one point in their storied lives.

Georgetown, Grand Cayman
As the largest and most cosmopolitan of the Cayman Islands, Grand Cayman is a popular cruise port renowned for its gorgeous beaches, relaxed atmosphere, great restaurants, exciting nightlife, and offshore banking network—particularly in the capital city of George Town.

But George Town is more than just a financial hub. It’s home to an array of water sports, art galleries, museums, duty-free shopping, designer boutiques, and the spectacular Seven Mile Beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.

And with warm crystal-clear blue waters and famous dive sites like Stingray City, this little tropical paradise is also one of the top diving locations in the world.

Willemstad, Curacao
Dating back to the 1600’s, the beautiful city of Willemstad is the capital of the island of Curacao and one of the busiest ports in the Caribbean.

It was once the former capital of the Netherlands Antilles and its Dutch influences are felt everywhere—particularly in the historic heart of the Willemstad, where the Old Town’s colonial culture and unique architecture has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visit the Curacao Maritime Museum for engaging displays that trace the island’s considerable history or Museum Kura Hulanda, considered one of the best museums in the Caribbean. Watch ships of all sizes come through Willemstad’s channel via the Queen Emma Bridge or discover the rich colors of Dutch architecture at Fort Amsterdam, which dates back to the 1760’s.

Head to Punda, the oldest part of Willlemstad, for local and international restaurants, great shopping and local specialty products like Dutch Delft Blue figurines, wheels of Gouda and Edam cheeses, and of course the original Curacao liqueur.

Oranjestad, Aruba
As the capital and largest city of Aruba, Oranjestad (Dutch for “Orange Town”) is named after King Willem van Oranje-Nassau, the first heir to the Dutch House of Orange.

Now mainly referred to as “Playa” by the locals, Oranjestad is renowned for its sunny weather year-round, with a virtually constant temperature of 28C/82F.

Given the beautiful climate and myriad of pristine white beaches, no wonder some of the city’s most popular activities to do are soaking in the sun, snorkeling, sailing, fishing and boat rides. Shopping is also a common pursuit, with the vast amount of jewelry stores in Aruba offering much lower prices than elsewhere around the world.

If you’re in search of locally made goods and products, visit Oranjestad’s marketplace for art and handicrafts, sample an Aruba-made Balashi Beer, and maybe even try an ostrich burger, which are widely available due to the city’s proximity to a number of ostrich farms.

Labadee, Haiti
Enjoy this Azamara private paradise for a day that can be relaxing, exciting, or a little of each.

Labadee® lies on the north coast of Hispaniola, presided over by mountains green and lush with exotic vegetation, and surrounded by several sandy beaches. In the mood to explore? Survey the scenic coastline by kayak or on an exhilarating wave runner ride. Get a bird's-eye view as you parasail 400 feet above the action, or fly through the air on a thrilling mega zip line.

Not quite your speed? How about lounging in a shady hammock while sipping a fruity Caribbean concoction?
