10 Night Cruise sailing from Sydney roundtrip aboard Carnival Spirit.

You’re gonna need more fingers (and toes) to count all the things to do on board

Carnival Spirit can be summed up in one word: amazing. Well, maybe two words: amazing and exciting. Okay, make it two words plus one hyphenated word: amazing, exciting and jaw-dropping.

Highlights of this cruise include:

Sydney
Sydney is located on the south-east coast of Australia. It is the largest and most populated city in Australia and the state capital of New South Wales. The city is built on hills surrounding Sydney Harbour where the Sydney Harbour bridge and the Sydney Opera House are located. The region features many bays, rivers, inlets and beaches including the famous Bondi Beach. Within the city are many picturesque parks including Hyde Park and the Royal Botanical Gardens.

The most well-known attractions include the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Other attractions include Royal Botanical Gardens, Luna Park, some 40 beaches and Sydney Tower. The Rocks precinct includes the first colonial village of Sydney and some great shops, cafes and galleries are located here. Sydney also has several popular museums, such as the Australian Museum (natural history and anthropology), the Powerhouse Museum (science, technology and design), the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Australian National Maritime Museum.

Bay of Islands
The Bay of Islands is made up 140 islands in an area in the Northland region of the North Island of New Zealand. Located 60 km north-west of Whangarei, it is close to the northern tip of the country. Its main towns include Paihai, Russell, Waitangi, Kerikeri, Opua and Kawakawa.

The Bay of islands is a major tourist area, offering sea activities, sub-tropical sandy beaches and native forests. It is also an area of considerable historical significance and is popular with craftspeople.

Paihia is the main visitor centre for the Bay of Islands and is the starting point for many sightseeing cruises including the Cape Brett Hole-in-the-Rock cruise, boat hires, diving and swimming with the dolphins excursions.

Auckland, New Zealand
Experience a cosmopolitan city surrounded by natural wonders. Auckland has two harbours and over 50 local islands. Within half an hour you can be exploring lush native rainforests, snapping selfies on a volcano, hanging ten on black sand beaches, taking a winery tour or island hopping on crystal blue waters.

If shopping is your thing, head to Auckland’s iconic Queen Street. You’ll discover the best New Zealand designers along with markets, boutiques and local art. When your legs are ready to fall off, take a seat and feast on local cuisine with an international twist. Yep, Auckland really is a city like no other.

Tauranga, New Zealand
White sandy beaches, a beautiful harbour, spectacular surrounding landscape, a vibrant city – Tauranga has everything going for it. And there are plenty of things to do too. In fact, there are so many activities you’ll be totally spoilt for choice.

You can take a scenic tour or take-off on a jet boat. You can jump into a kayak or jump on a helicopter. You can do some bird watching or watch your fishing rod bend over. You can sail on the ocean or dive into it with scuba gear on. You decide.

Napier, New Zealand
At the southern end of Hawkes Bay you’ll find Napier. This may surprise you, but Napier is the art deco capital of the world. In 1931 a massive earthquake and fire destroyed the city. Within two years the town was rebuilt in the style of the era – art deco. To make Napier even more unique, traditional Maori motifs give the city unmistakable New Zealand character.

Napier also happens to be perfect grape growing climate. It has some of the oldest wineries and winemaking establishments in the country. So take a wine tour or take a stroll along the Marine Parade that runs along the city’s shore. It’s a great way to take it all in. Yes, Napier is definitely worth a visit. It captures the true spirit of art deco and the optimism of the roaring twenties.
