Pursuit, Atlantic Pursuit Voyage ex Miami to Southampton
15 Night cruise sailing from Miami to Southampton onboard Azamara Pursuit.
Your voyage begins in Miami, so you might want to arrive early to immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife and relax on sun-soaked beaches before two luxurious days at sea.
An overnight in Hamilton, Bermuda follows, so you’ll have lots of time to shop at the upscale boutiques on Front Street, tee off on incredible golf courses, swim at the famous Horseshoe Bay Beach, or dive to some of the best reefs on earth.
We have four days at sea before arriving in Horta, Azores. Embark on a scenic hike overlooking blue lakes and cedar forests, or set out for some world-class fishing and whale watching before cruising to Ponta Delgada, the largest city of the Azores islands. The “Pineapple Port” is renown for its tasty exports, especially the “king of fruits” and sweet liqueurs.
With three relaxing days at sea, recharge in luxury with a salt glow or sunset yoga, dine at our specialty restaurants, or become a wine expert with tips from our sommelier.
With a day in Plymouth, UK, the celebration of the 400th anniversary of the Voyage of the Mayflower will be in full swing before your voyage concludes in Southampton, UK, also home to a rich shipbuilding and seafaring history stretching back centuries. Stay a few extra days to explore Bath’s natural hot springs and stunning architecture, the megaliths of Stonehenge, or head west to Lands End.
Highlights of this cruise:
You’ll be hard pressed to find a city more vibrant than Miami! Home to an incredible array of cultures, Miami is the place to go to see Art Deco designs, dance the night away to Latin rhythms, snap photos of pink flamingos, and relax on legendary beaches—all on the same day! If you're feeling more adventurous, rent a boat to explore the Everglades and catch a glimpse of an alligator or manatees.
Hamilton has its own unique style, and is full of pastel-hued historic buildings, lush parks, gardens, and golf courses—all set alongside a natural harbor and pink sand beaches. Front St. is the pulse of Hamilton, and many Victorian buildings have been converted into shops, boutiques, and restaurants where you can dine on fresh seafood or sip a dark and stormy, Bermuda’s official drink.
With wild blooming hydrangeas backed by stark black volcanic cliffs, the stunning beauty of Horta would be enough on its own. But there’s also incredible hiking, world-class fishing, and whales to watch, as well as fumaroles, hot springs, and blue lakes ringed by cedar forests. On nearby Pico island, you can visit UNESCO-listed volcanic vineyards and descend into one of the world's longest lava tubes.
Ponta Delgada, Azores
Ponta Delgada is home eco-attractions like the nature reserve of Lagoa do Fogo, and the crater lakes of Sete Cidades National Park. Explore the city center, visit the Church of Sao Jose, or explore the old Portuguese town of Riberia Grande. If you don’t make it to a pineapple plantation, be sure to try the “king of fruits” at a local market, as Ponta Delgada is renowned for its pineapple.
From Francis Drake to America’s Pilgrim forefathers, countless epic voyages have set sail from Plymouth. Discover a seafaring spirit of exploration in Britain’s Ocean City and explore a charming waterside district lined with historic Tudor buildings. Walk the iconic Mayflower Steps, breathe in fresh salt air sweeping in from Plymouth Sound, and venture out into the quintessential English countryside.
It was the departure point for the Mayflower in 1620, and for the ill-fated Titanic in 1912. The charms of London are not far away, but pray tarry in the south to explore other wonders, including Bath, with its natural hot springs and stunning architecture and the mysterious megaliths of Stonehenge, or venture all the way west to Lands End, and the wild moorlands and pirate haunts of Cornwall.
