Brisbane is the capital and most populated city in the state of Queensland, Australia. It is situated at a bend of the Brisbane River, approximately 23 kms from its mouth at Moreton Bay. The city itself is very hilly; the CBD is only 2.2km and is easy to walk on foot.

Popular tourist and recreation areas in Brisbane include the South Bank Parklands, Roma Street Parkland, the City Botanic Gardens, Brisbane Forest Park and Portside Wharf. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary opened in 1927 and was the world's first koala sanctuary.

Other attractions in Brisbane include galleries, wildlife parks, museums, markets and adventures. Visitors can relax at beautiful beaches and explore the river, bay, parklands, forests and mountains. There are festivals and events galore too.

Eden is a town on the far South Coast of the Australian state of New South Wales, approximately 230 nautical miles south of Sydney, and situated on Twofold Bay, close to the state border with Victoria. It is a historic whaling town which is great for whale watching around October and November each year. The Killer Whale Museum is Eden’s top tourist attraction.

Water sports are a major attraction in Eden, as are the nearby National Parks and State forests. Bay and ocean fishing are very popular here, as is bushwalking, cycling and 4WDing.

Hobart is situated on the island of Tasmania and is the southern most capital city in Australia. Straddling the breathtaking Derwent River, Australia's deepest harbour, Hobart is one of the most beautiful areas in both Tasmania, with nearby Mount Wellington dominating the city in the background.

The city of Hobart was founded in 1803 and has numerous heritage areas close to the city centre. There are many museums and galleries which provide interesting information on Hobart’s history. Some of the most popular landmarks in the Hobart area include the Tasman Bridge, Government House, the Port Arthur Historic Site, Richmond Bridge - one of the oldest stone bridges in the whole of Australia and Hobart's St. David's

Other world-class Hobart attractions include Derwent River, the Cadbury-Schweppes Chocolate Constitution Dock, Old Hobart Town Model Village, Bicentennial Park, the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and Salamanca Market - a lively flea market held in Hobart's Salamanca district, which attracts more than 10,000 bargain hunters each week.

Hobart regularly features many exciting festivals and events, including the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, a spectacular race which finishes at Hobart's waterfront at the end of each year in Hobart.

Maria Island
Maria Island is a mountainous island off the east coast of Tasmania. The entire island is a National Park. Maria Island National Park has a total area of 115.50 km² which includes a marine area of 18.78 km², off the island's north-west coast. The island is about 20 km in length from north to south and, at its widest, is about 13 km west to east. There is one town on the island called Darlington. It has many historic buildings but is uninhabited.

Walking, bicycling, swimming, snorkelling, diving, bird watching, wildlife observation and relaxation are the main activities undertaken by visitors. Many people take interest in Maria Island's history, and most of the island's walks include sites of historic interest. The Painted Cliffs and the Fossil Cliffs are two popular walking destinations for day visitors, both on the island's coastline.

King Island
King Island is located in Bass Strait, off the north-western tip of the main island of Tasmania, about half way between Tasmania and Victoria. The main towns on the island are Currie, Grassy and Naracoopa.

King Island is famous for two things - seafood, especially lobster (Crayfish), and King Island dairy products. The grass on the island produces extremely rich and creamy milk that local dairies turn that into delicious brie, camembert etc.
