Today, relax on board. With the many choices available to you on board, you will be surprised at how quickly time passes. Choose one of the daily activities, join an entertaining discussion in the theatre or immerse yourself in the Nordic bathing experiences.

The most northerly point of the British Isles, Lerwick’s waterfront is lined with sandstone buildings dating back to the 18th century. The sound of traditional Shetland music can often be heard as you walk through the twisting lanes of this charming harbour town.

Freechoice: Visit the remarkable prehistoric archaeological site of Jarlshof, or take a ferry to the Island of Mousa and admire the Iron Age fortress, incredible scenery and abundant wildlife. Alternatively, explore the Shetland Museum.

Journey to Norway’s second largest city, the Hanseatic fishing port of Bergen, surrounded by seven hills. One of the prettiest cities in Norway, Bergen dates back to the 12th century. Admire the many multi-coloured wooden buildings, by far the most iconic sight to greet any visitor to Bergen. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, the Bergen region has the ideal balance of nature, culture and urban life.

Freechoice: Join a local for a guided tour around Bergen, or travel to the house of the famed Norwegian composer and pianist Edvard Grieg before a private recital in the museums concert hall.

Discovery: Hike to Mount Fløien, learning of the beloved Norwegian outdoor culture, tales of trolls and everyday life in old and modern days, or venture out and bike through this stunning city.

Cruise along Sognefjord, the largest fjord in Norway and you will soon see why it deserves the nickname of ‘King of the Fjords’. At its deepest, Sognefjord plunges more than 1,300 metres while the spectacular mountains rise on either side. You’ll pass through the village of Vikøyri before making your way to the village of Flåm in the heart of the fjord.

Freechoice: Ride the world-famous Flåm Railway for a day of stunning scenery. Or you may choose to explore an authentic Viking Village.

Discovery: Hike to the Brekkefossen waterfall with a local guide sharing their knowledge and history of the area.

Be greeted by a beautiful stretch of coastline, spectacular mountains and valleys, rolling farmland and the biggest glacier in Europe. The view is sure to steal your breath. The mountains in Nordfjord plunge from altitudes of a few thousand meters, straight down into the fjord and the ocean, creating magnificent waterfalls

Situated in the inner Geirangerfjord, Geiranger is one of Norway’s most beautiful sights surrounded by steep mountains on either side of the fjord. It’s listed as one of the most beautiful fjords in the world and is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Take in the magnificent surroundings bedecked with cliffs, mountains, and tranquil lakes.

Named after Norse mythology, Frøya is the goddess of love and beauty. See the rolling hillside blanketed in vibrant purple heather, Scandivain architecture scattered along the rocky coastline, and calm, sheltered inlets ready for exploration.

The second largest glacier in Norway will astound you with its 370 square kilometres and shades of blue in the ice formations. It is also the lowest glacier in mainland Europe at just 20 meters above sea level, making it accessible for nature-based experiences.

Cruise along the Lofoten Islands, with dramatic peaks, sheltered coves and pristine beaches. The archipelago is a visual feast to explore and discover. This rare wilderness offers breath-taking scenery surrounded by majestic mountains, deep fjords, seabird colonies and picturesque fishing villages. Have your morning coffee outside in the Panorama Bar and watch as your expert Captain maneuvers the ship past massive walls of mountains rising from sea.

Known as the cultural hub of the Arctic, Tromsø sits 400km above the Arctic Circle in the land of the Midnight Sun. Surprisingly cosmopolitan for its remote location, during the summer Tromsø is full of locals basking in the sunlight, tucking into fresh seafood on the docks, enjoying a drink at the world’s most northern brewery or taking a dip in the refreshing waters of the local beach. Your cruise ends this morning after breakfast. Say farewell to the crew and disembark Scenic Eclipse for your journey home.

Please book your flight to depart out of Tromso after 11:00 AM.
